Last night instead of “fine dining” in Grill’d-style we ended up having dinner at 1 am at a Chinese restaurant that had mixed intestine porridge on their menu – I kid you not! After that very culinary experience it was time to take the stroll back home because today morning it was time to do the weekly veggie shopping!
We headed to the Subiaco Farmers’ Market with our grandma-trolley (yes, we had one of those trolleys that you just pull behind you…) after a couple of strong coffees and I just loved the atmosphere there! The market is full of fresh food, sold by the farmers themselves. When it comes to grocery shopping, there isn’t anything better than buying extremely fresh products and knowing that the money goes fully to the farmers!
Some very delicious mangos!
If heading to a market on a Saturday-morning isn’t your thing, there’s a farmers’ store in the Claremont mall – the only place where you can buy 2kg of carrots for $1 – sounds like a pretty good deal to me!
